Digital Orange V 3.0
by Daniel Loebl

I create maps for a group of intrepid Marathoners who have an unbalanced
desire to kill each other during lunchtime at work. This is one of my
earliest attempts. It has been tested in net play using four Macs, and
hasn't shown any disposition to crash any one in particular.

If you tried the first version of this map, you already know that this map
is designed for aggressive players who like to come at each other in search
of kills. It is set up for short range combat, but also for Spanker
attacks. One of my marathon pals is particularly enamored of the Spanker,
so I have provided him with a "Spanker Skill Set Test, Level III" map, and
this is it. Long narrow hallways, dark bays. You think you got all angles
covered, but a well placed missile will show you wrong.

NOW, after my friends and I have played this map enough to pile bodies
three and four feet deep, they have asked me to make it "complicated." So I
have added secret passageways, "bounce rooms," and doorways where no one
thought there would be any. If you have three or four friends looking for a
fight. This is the place to do it

Good luck.

I think net marathon really comes alive with arenas

This map was made with Phorte, which is getting better and better with
every version. Mapmaking would not be possible without the Phorte User's
Guide by Randy Varnell and thanks to Steve Israelson (who created Phorte).

Many thanks to the Beta testing team (and fellow Marathon maniacs), John
Romadka, Brent Reuter, and Dawn McDowell.

\To use this map, make a copy of it, rename it "Map", and AFTER making a
copy of your original Marathon Map, place it in your Marathon folder.
